What we keep in memory
is ours unchanged forever.
Gone, but not forgotten.

Wesley (Mickey) Kelley, beloved father, grandpa, brother, and uncle passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

Born in Independence, Mo., on January 20, 1957, he touched the lives of many with his love and generosity. As a devoted father, he loved his children and grandchildren very much. His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories they will forever hold dear.

In addition to his children and grandchildren, Mickey leaves behind two brothers, with whom he shared a deep bond of love and camaraderie.

Though his sudden departure has left a void in our hearts, Mickey will be remembered fondly for his love of the Chiefs, his love for his family, and the countless precious moments he shared with those he held dear.

A private family service will be held to celebrate Mickey’s life and honor his legacy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Independence Police Foundation. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
