Marine Veteran, Steven “Hillbilly” Hopkins, 63, passed away peacefully at his home on April 15, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Carol Hopkins both of Independence, MO. Steve attended Luff Elementary, Palmer Junior High and was a graduate at Truman High School, class of 1975.

Hillbilly’s spirit will forever be carried on by all of his hell raising family and friends that he sadly left behind. In lieu of flowers and tears, Hillbilly would have wanted his closest family and friends to gather for one last cold round, blaring Jimmy Buffet and Good Ol’ Hank Williams Jr.

The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Runaway Lounge located at 2408 NW Vivion Rd, Riverside, MO 64150 from 12-4 p.m. For direct information from family please call Hillbilly’s cell. ~Semper Fidelis
