Loretta “Lori” Chapman went to her eternal life on Saturday, June 16, 2018. The last five months for her was an intense fight against menacing cancer.

Life celebration for Lori will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Oak Grove Civic Center, 2100 S. Broadway, Oak Grove.

Lori was born on December 4, 1956, to Edrie Lou Nickerson (Smith) and Dr. C.J. Nickerson in Independence, Missouri. On May 8, 1981, Lori married Joseph Chapman. Choosing to support the family while also raising her children, Lori operated her own beauty shop attached to the home and did so for thirty years.

Lori is survived by her mother, Edrie; husband, Joseph; son, Aaron; daughter, Staci and Staci’s husband, Tom Capranica; grandchildren, Aiden, Jameson and Madison; and brothers, Dennis and Corky. Lori loved all her nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
