Jamie Lynn (Ogle) Gurley, 52, St. Augustine, Florida, formerly of Independence, MO went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Kansas City Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jamie was born March 24, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Truman High School in 1975 and Central Missouri State University in 1979 with a degree in Accounting and Business Management.
Jamie worked for Ideal Clamp Products in St. Augustine, FL for 26 years as Financial Controller. She also was part owner of the MillTop Restaurant in the historic district.
Jamie helped others and many charitable organizations. “Team MillTop” is participating in the “Relay for Life” on May 16, 2009 in St. Augustine for the benefit of the American Cancer Society in Jamie’s honor.
Jamie is survived by her parents, James and Frances Ogle, brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Anita Ogle, nephews and niece, Garrett, Addie, and Weston of Independence, MO, other relatives and many close friends and coworkers.
Services will be Friday, May 8, 2009 at Newcomer’s on Noland Road. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 12:30PM with funeral at 12:30PM. Burial in Swan Lake Cemetery. Memorial services for Jamie in St. Augustine, FL, will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114. Jamie will be so missed by her family and friends.
