Services for Joe E. Allinder, 31 Sugar Creek, who died July 1, 1989, at the Medical Center of Independence, will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Newcomer’s Ott & Mitchell Chapel. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation.

Mr. Allinder was born in Poteau, Oklahoma and lived in the Kansas City area the past 25 years. He was a budget assistant for the Army Corps of Engineers in Kansas City. He was a 1975 graduated of Truman High School. He received his Bachelors degree in business adminisration from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Independence.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Renae Allinder, three sons, Christopher B. allinder, richard P. Prewitt III, and , Nathaniel S. Prewitt, and two daughters, Jennifer R. Prewitt, and Shannon N. Prewitt, all of the home; his parents, James E. and Freda M. Alliner of Independence, and five brothers, James R. Allinder, Olympia, Wash., John K. Allinder, William L. Allinder and Thomas D. Allinder of Independence and Donald D. Allinder, Noreco, Calif.
