Sarah Jo Jacobs, 59, Nixa, Missouri departed this life June 13, 2017. She was born July 20, 1957 at Chillicothe, Missouri to Thomas E. and Barbara J. (Birt) Bray. Sarah enjoyed substitute teaching and helping many students throughout her career. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carthage, Missouri where she served for five years as director of Little Folks Day Care. Sarah recently attended RelevantLife.Church of Springfield, Missouri. 
She was a seven year survivor of ovarian cancer. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents. 

Survivors include her husband Larry of the home, one son Nathan Jacobs and wife Kala, one daughter Rachel Canady and husband Matt, a precious granddaughter, Brinley Jacobs, two sisters, Martha Green and husband Dennis, Becky Moyer and husband BJ and one brother Clark Bray, also surviving are four nephews, three nieces, five great-nephews and seven great-nieces. 
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday June, 16, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. 
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 17, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Reverend Ron Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory for reading grants and/or books to Nixa Education Foundation, 301 S. Main Street, Nixa, Missouri 65714. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
