What we keep in memory
is ours unchanged forever.
Gone but not forgotten.

Sherry Lynn Felten Medley passed away on Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at home with family.
Sherry was born on March 13, 1957 in Independence, MO to Floyd and Jean Felten as the first of three girls. Sherry has two children from a previous marriage, Andy Jackson and Sarah Young. She married Murray Medley in 1998 and together they have 4 children including Matt Medley and Michelle Simmons as well as eight grandchildren.
She loved teaching from a young age and worked as a Parent Educator for the Parent-as-Teachers Program for the Kansas City School District. She worked there for many years until 2005 when she went on disability.
On June 22, 1974, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at a convention in Evansville, Indiana. Sherry dearly loved Jehovah and with Murray they served Jehovah together faithfully. Her hobbies were gardening and cooking. Sherry loved helping all get through difficult times with encouraging words and scriptures. She loved the little details about people, especially her grandchildren, like what kind of waffles they liked or what their favorite phrases of the moment were. She would always find the perfect gift to match your personality.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 22 years Murray Medley; her parents Floyd and Jean Felten; sister Judy Eairheart (husband Dan); sister Dana Marcos (husband Mike); son Andy Jackson (wife Susie); daughter Sarah Young who hopes to carry on her mother’s kind, enthusiastic, and earnest love for life (husband Chad); stepson Matt Medley (wife Nicole); stepdaughter Michelle Simmons (husband Travis); 8 grandchildren: Savanah, Sebastion, Seth, Will, Molly, Miles, Baxter and Wilder.
Sherry felt strongly about God’s promises. Here are a few of the scriptures she cherished and derived comfort:
Psalms 34:18 says, “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Acts 24:15 says, “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”
Revelation 21:4 says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
Psalms 37:4 says, “Find exquisite delight in Jehovah, and he will grant you the desires of your heart.”
Psalms 37:24 says, “The righteous will posses the earth, and they will live forever on it.”
