What we keep in memory
is ours unchanged forever.
Gone but not forgotten.

Carol Ann Logan, 58, of Blue Springs, Mo., rose to her heavenly home on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, after living with ALS for 8 1/2 years.

Carol was born November 25, 1957, in Kansas City, Mo., and spent her life in the Kansas City area. She graduated from Truman High School, in 1975. Carol began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1978. She graduated from Park College in 1997 with a BA in management/HR. Her favorite work position was manager-Human Resources because she had opportunities to help so many people. After 32 years at SWBT/SBC/AT&T, Carol retired in 2010, leaving behind a “telephone company family” of good friends and memories. For the next several years, she and her husband Eric enjoyed traveling together to explore stateside and Caribbean destinations.

Carol was a Christian and member of Timothy Lutheran Church in Blue Springs. Mo. She sang in the Celebration Chorus and was a facilitator for GriefShare. Carol enjoyed the ocean and basking in the sun. She liked to travel, cook, spend time with friends and family, vacation at Lake of the Ozarks, go fishing, study the history of WWII and watch Kansas City Royals games. Carol had an awesome snowman collection which decorated the mantle every Christmas. She loved being a Mom and providing a warm loving home for her family.

Carol leaves behind many faithful friends and family members she loved dearly.

She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Eric; mother, Irma Hunter; daughter, Chelsey Davidson (Dr. Andrew Pirotte); son, Brian Davidson; step-son, Parker (Staci) Logan and granddaughter Landrie Logan, step-son Brock (Brittnie) Logan; mother-in-law, Billie Logan; brother-in-law, Brian (Alma) Logan; niece, Lindsey Averill; nephew, Ryan (Jackie) Averill.

Preceding her in death was her sister and only sibling, Sandy Mooney in 2006; father, John Norris in 2015; father-in-law, Leroy Logan in 2015; and the family cat, Tigger in 2015.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Timothy Lutheran Church South Campus, 301 S.W. Wyatt Road, Blue Springs. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at Timothy Lutheran Church North Campus, 425 N.W. R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Timothy Lutheran Church Celebration Chorus; or to the ALSTDI Association designated for “research only.”
